It’s been a while since I drove through there, but in my opinion, their process could be a little bit faster and their customer service could be a little better. Ghana Rubber Company Ltd operates from this zone and supplies a wide range of industrial plastic and packaging products. Many beverage producers quietly depend on this supply chain. Their website is https://ghanarubber.com. Ghana Rubber is where I buy the disposable cups with doom lids, straws and tissue paper. They also produce bottles and takeaway tapperware. It’s relatively quiet, and the wait time is shorter. If you are looking to stock up on disposable cups, tissue, and straws, they are your best bet.
This part of Accra becomes especially important when your volumes grow and your pricing negotiations start to define your profit margins.
How to buy packaging like a professional
Never walk into a packaging shop empty-handed. Always carry your existing bottle or cap if it’s your first purchase at the particular provider. Most of them have a showcase display of their products that you can browse through to make your choice of purchase
In Ghana, mismatched neck threads destroy brands quietly. The seal must be perfect.
Always confirm that the packaging is food-grade. Never assume. Ask about tamper-evident caps. They increase trust immediately. Check clarity, thickness and uniformity. Confirm minimum order quantities, lead times and consistency between batches.
